Microsoft's Rewards Program Via Bing Is Cool

I search a lot. I do a lot of searches. It's good enough that you can find what you are looking for. But what if you get rewarded for it? Better, get rewarded anyway even if you don't find what you were searching. Microsoft's Bing is a search engine that could. It also rewards you just for using it.

The rewards you get from using Bing accumulate. You can then redeem the rewards as sweepstakes entries, gift cards, vouchers, donations and what have you. You can set goals, where even the almost seemingly impossible goal can actually be met quite fast, because Bing offers games and additional ways to earn more points faster.

Besides the rewards which you can just forget about in the background really, Bing, as a search engine, pretty much works really well and can be better at times than Google. There are regions where Bing is not fully localized, so Google would seem to work better. However, in places where Bing has full coverage, switching from Google to Bing can be a rewarding experience by itself.

Google is cool, but Bing+rewards is cooler. I switched to Bing since it came out, and never looked back. I still use Google Maps though, although I am beginning to find myself using Bing Maps more often recently and I am good with it. Bing is not an alternative. It's a replacement, and it works!

The truth is, I don't use Bing because of the rewards. However, the rewards do make using Bing more fun. It's been going on for years. Might as well enjoy it while it's around. If not for Bing, use it for the rewards. Give it a try. You might be surprised how quickly you can get hooked.
