CES 2011: The Android Invasion!

CES 2011 is invaded by Androids! Started today in Las Vegas, the first day news coverages are mostly about Android, 4G and more Androids. As expected, there'll be a lot of touchscreen devices at CES 2011...  but the Android theme is in the air. New players are venturing into releasing new product lines in 2011, and, yes, they mostly involve a lot of Androids. Many new 4G phones and tablets announced are also using Android.

The most interesting of course is Vizio's venture into the mobile gadget business. Vizio introduced their new Android powered smartphone and tablet, both of which are expected to integrate seamlessly with Vizio's TV lines. Coming summer 2011, we can expect these to be competitively cheap.

Motorola Xoom is demoed as one of the first tablets to run Android Honeycomb. Dell announces a super powerful Android tablet called the Streak 7 that's also 4G ready. Asus, Toshiba, NEC and a host of other manufacturers are also showing off their Android tablets.

Almost all major smartphone manufacturers are showing off 4G ready Android phones. The list includes HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Sony Ericsson.

It's great to follow CES 2011 to watch out for that next big thing. The way it's going so far,  there are a lot of Androids this year. Kaboom! Kaboom! The Android bandwagon has officially begun!
