Facebook Is Having Problems?
While writing this article, http://downrightnow.com/facebook reports a likely service disruption from Facebook. You might be tempted to check out http://blog.facebook.com but because Facebook is down, what do you expect? Meanwhile, people post their status through Twitter (or on other social networking accounts) about Facebook being down.
CNET News' Caroline McCarthy reported about access problems earlier.
There has been a string of service disruptions from Facebook since last month. Service disruptions from web sites with a large user base can be costly every minute (or every second) that it fails to stay online. We've yet to see how much this recent disruption could cost Facebook, but we won't be surprised if the losses would be valued at millions of dollars total.
By the time I finished this article, it looks like Facebook's back up. And I'm glad it did just in time for me to share this article with my friends... on Facebook.
